Add Blu-Ray to iTunes 11 for Play,Transfer to iPad/iPhone/AppleTV

Have several pieces of Blu-Ray discs in hand and want to enjoy it on your iPad, iPhone or Widescreen TV through Apple TV? However, to play Blu-Ray movies in iTunes 11 or on Apple devices, Blu-Ray movies will need to be imported to iTunes 11 movies library for transfer to iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or Apple TV. The Blu-Ray disc will first need be ripped to iTunes 11 supported HD H.264 MP4 or MOV. Then it will be pretty easy for movie transfer to iTunes 11.

Prepare: Free download PavTube Blu-Ray Ripper

Free download PavTube Blu-Ray Ripper(For Windows, For Mac). Install and launch the program.

Step 1: Load Blu-ray Disc/ISO/IFO to BD-ROM

Insert Blu-ray Disc to BD-ROM. If you computer has no BD drive equipped, use an external one via USB connection.

Run the Blu-ray Ripper. Press on the button of “Import BD/DVD from BD/DVD ROM” to load Blu-Ray movies. Keep your computer networked- so that the software can handle BD+ protections properly.

To import Blu-ray/DVD ISO/IFO, press on “Open a *.IFO file or *.ISO file” button

Step 2: Set desired audio and subtitle

Select the main movie from file list. Set desired audio and subtitles language.

Step 3: Choose iTunes 11 supported HD H.264 MP4

To convert Blu-ray/DVD movies to iTunes 11 for streaming to Apple TV 3 with AC3 5.1 surround sound, in “Apple TV” category, choose “Apple TV 3 1080p Dolby Digital Pass-through (*.m4v)” or “Apple TV 2 720p Dolby Digital Pass-through (*.m4v)” to keep 5.1 sound.

Step 4: Convert Blu-Ray to iTunes 11 supported video

Press the big “Convert” button to start converting Blu-ray to iTunes 11 H.264 HD Video or optimized video for iPad, iPhone or Apple TV.

Step 5: Add converted Blu-Ray movies to iTunes 11

Open iTunes 11 on your computer. Choose “File – > Add File to Library…” to add the converted Blu-ray movie to iTunes 11.

If the added Blu-Ray movies are listed under “Home Videos” instead of under “Movies” in Movie Libary. Select the particular movie, click “Get info” in the context menu and change Genre type to “Movie”, it will put them back into your movie folder.
