Overview

iSquint is a free Mac application that helped you convert videos and movies for an Apple iPod/iPhone/Apple TV compatible device. VisualHub, on the other hand, is a paid Mac app that allows you to convert to more types of devices and media, like for PSP, DV, DVD, AVI, WMV and Flash.

However, the development and support of iSquint and VisualHub stopped in 2008. Three years later, Techspansion released an last updater for support of OS X Lion. Togher with the release, Techspansion also annouced the end of VisualHub the support of software. Luckily, the code used by Techspansion has been left open so developers can pick it up from there and create an app of their own on their Mac computer. But iSquint is a Mac-only program and there is no iSquint for Windows version

Overview

VisualHub is the best and easiest converter and player program in the past. For many peopel, even they find VisualHub alternative to replace VisualHub, no applications can fill the VisualHub-shaped hole in their heart. For some people, they think VisualHub is out of date with out of date user interface that is not user-friendly and does not work with a lot of video files and usually with script errors and other issues.

FLAC, APE and Apple Lossless ALAC are lossless compressed audio formats. While WAV and AIFF are uncompressed audio formats. Though Lossless compressed audio gives much smaller file size than that of uncompressed audio without quality loss. Is there K-Lite Codec for Mac?

Recently switched to Mac computer but have problem of playing MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MTS, MXF, etc with default Quicktime player? You probably have used the popular K-Lite Codec Pack (with full name “K-Lite Mega Codec Pack”) on Windows and thought there might be a K-Lite Mega Codec Pack for Mac OS X.

Actually there is not a K-Lite Codec pack for Mac at the time of this writing.
